Are the classes free?
Where are the classes held?
Yes, Steady Steps is a completely free community wellness program. We provide research-informed Tai Chi and balance classes to help seniors move with confidence and connect with their neighbors.
Our classes are held in lush, sun-dappled parks throughout Surrey, British Columbia. We believe outdoor movement in nature provides the best environment for balance and stability.
Is prior experience needed?
How often do we meet?
Not at all. Our program is designed for seniors of all fitness levels. We focus on gentle, research-informed movements that are accessible and safe for everyone to participate in.
We meet once a week. Each session typically includes a 10-minute warm-up, 40 minutes of Tai Chi and gentle resistance exercises, and a 10-minute cool-down to ensure a safe and effective practice.
